A newly-built passenger station was dedicated in Johnstown on Oct. 12, 1916. One century later, the beautiful building still stands and continues to be a important landmark for the City. Currently, the station is undergoing a major renovation, with a new roof as well as Amtrak-funded improvements related to ADA-accessibility. The Johnstown Area Heritage Association will hold a brief ceremony to commemorate the station's centennial.
