Peoples Natural Gas Park is located near the Cambria Iron National Historic Landmark at the junction of the Conemaugh and Stoneycreek Rivers. The park is owned and operated by the Johnstown Area Heritage Association (JAHA, the producers of the AmeriServ Flood City Music Festival). The 3.5-acre facility is fully gated and fenced.
The Oilhouse. This former industrial building that has been completely renovated. This two-level space (which includes a wheelchair lift) includes a small stage and restrooms that serve up to 700 comfortably. Capacity of the room is about 560; alternatively, it can be set with tables and chairs, buffets, and displays. It features garage doors that open onto a concrete apron out into the park lawn. The Polacek Pavilion. Adjacent to the Oilhouse, the pavilion includes a stage, stage lighting, small green room area, and can be set with up to 600 seats. This flexible space can also be set with tables and chairs for dining, displays, or left open for dancing.
Lawn area. The park’s extensive lawn area is landscaped and includes sidewalks throughout. This space can be left open, or can be used for vendors, bouncy houses, portable toilets (if needed for larger crowds) and other activities appropriate to your event.
Small parking lot. The site’s small parking lot includes several handicapped spaces. For larger crowds, parking lots are available across the street from the train station.

The Stone Bridge. This historic bridge is adjacent to the park lawn and has been lighted with colorful LED fixtures. For an additional fee, your rental can include the opportunity to choose the color of the lights for the evening.
Bars set to your specifications. We work within PCLB regulations to provide a full bar, or wine and beer only.
Sound systems: The Oilhouse and the Polacek Pavilion are equipped with sound systems that can run independently or as a unit.
ATM. The space includes an ATM that can be available for public functions when appropriate.
The facility is available for all types of private and public functions, including but not limited to:
Weddings, family reunions and birthday parties
Small conventions, trade shows and expos
Concerts or performances with local, regional, and national acts
Since its 2012 opening, the park has been host to a wide range of JAHA-produced events, including the AmeriServ Flood City Music Festival, Summer Concert Series, and an 1889 flood commemoration event. Other public events held here include Thunder in the Valley, a major motorcycle rally produced by the Johnstown/Cambria County Convention & Visitors Bureau. Private events have included weddings; company picnics; class reunions; church meetings; and more.
